The rules of the game.

These Terms are an agreement between you and I Know Ball, the operator of the I Know Ball app and website at ikball.app. By creating an account or buying a plan, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to them for you. Effective September 13, 2026.

The short version

  • Players under 13 need a parent or guardian's approval before using an account.
  • Every lesson is free during our launch season. Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel.
  • Cancel anytime in Settings > Manage subscription. You keep access until the period you paid for ends.
  • Changed your mind? Email us within 14 days of a charge for a full refund.
  • Be respectful, and don't copy or resell our lessons.

1. Who can use I Know Ball

  • I Know Ball teaches basketball knowledge through lessons, videos, quizzes, and court drills for players, parents, coaches, and schools.
  • Players under 13 can only use an account after a parent or guardian approves it by email, as described in our Privacy Policy. Parents can review, delete, or stop the use of their child's information at any time.
  • Players 13 to 17 may use I Know Ball with the permission of a parent or guardian.
  • Purchases must be made by an adult (18 or older), such as a parent, coach, or school administrator.

2. Your account

  • Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us at hello@ikball.app if you think someone else is using your account.
  • Choose a display name that is not offensive, does not impersonate anyone, and does not include personal contact information. Display names can appear on leaderboards and team rosters.
  • You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting an account also cancels any paid plan on it.

3. Plans and prices

Prices are in US dollars and are shown on our pricing page before you buy.

  • Individual: $44.99 per year, or $24.99 every 3 months.
  • Family (up to 4 linked players): $74.99 per year, or $59.99 every 3 months.
  • Schools and programs: $999, $1,499, or $4,999 per year, covering the school's roster.

What a plan adds: every lesson is free for every account during our launch season. Choosing a plan now supports I Know Ball and keeps your full access (and your family's or team's) when the launch season ends.

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. We may change prices for future billing periods. If a price change affects your plan, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies to your renewal, and you can cancel before then.

4. Automatic renewal

Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (every year or every 3 months, depending on the plan) at the then-current price, charged to the payment method on file, until you cancel. We email a receipt after each payment and a reminder before each renewal.

5. Cancelling and refunds

  • How to cancel: sign in, open Settings, and tap Manage subscription. That opens Stripe's secure billing page, where you can cancel in a few clicks, update your card, or download receipts. You can also email hello@ikball.app and we will cancel for you.
  • When it takes effect: cancelling stops future renewals. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for and is not charged again.
  • Deleting your account cancels any paid plan on it immediately.
  • Refunds: if you're not happy, email us within 14 days of any charge and we will refund that charge in full. After 14 days, payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. A refunded plan ends when the refund is issued.

6. Using I Know Ball responsibly

You agree not to:

  • harass, bully, or embarrass other users, including through display names or team activity;
  • share your account, or use someone else's without permission;
  • copy, scrape, resell, or republish our lessons, quizzes, drills, or videos;
  • try to break, overload, or get around the security or the quiz and scoring systems;
  • use I Know Ball for anything unlawful.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Coaches and schools are responsible for the teams and join codes they create.

7. Our content and yours

The lessons, quizzes, court drills, videos, names, and logos in I Know Ball belong to I Know Ball and its creators and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Your account gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use them for learning and coaching, not to copy or redistribute them. Lesson videos are hosted on YouTube, and YouTube's terms apply to that playback.

Anything you type into the app, such as a reflection or a display name, stays yours. You give us permission to store and show it inside I Know Ball so the app can work (for example, on your progress page, a team roster, or a leaderboard).

8. Basketball safety

I Know Ball teaches the thinking side of basketball. It is not medical, fitness, or safety advice. Practice and play under appropriate supervision, follow your coach, and stop if you are hurt.

9. Disclaimers and limits

I Know Ball is provided "as is". We work to keep it available and accurate, but we do not promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, I Know Ball is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is significant, we will update the date at the top and notify account holders by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use I Know Ball after that means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Texas, except where the law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
